It’s the most wonderful time of the year, but before I start trimming my tree, playing Nat King Cole on repeat, and proceed to decking my halls, there is one precursor to the holidays that I look forward to, and that’s the VICTORIA’S SECRET Fashion Show. Yup, this week we’ll be “Undressin!”

Alright get your minds out of the gutter, I’m not that kind of girl. However I do plan to undress, and will be strippin down to expose bare cheeks (on my face, that is). No makeup, no filters, just au naturelle, which in my opinion is the sexiest.

Being the ultra girly girl I am, I cannot resist the allure of all things silky, lacy and especially pink when it comes to my unmentionables, and can I just mention that few do unmentionables better than VICTORIA’S SECRET. Fun fact, the VICTORIA’S SECRET fashion show is the most watched fashion event in the world. I’ve been a long-time fan of the show dating back to the days when Naomi Campbell, Gisele, and Tyra Banks graced the runway. I even hosted, my first VICTORIA’S SECRET watching party in 2005, which was and still is in my opinion the best VICTORIA’S SECRET fashion show of all time. That unfortunately, was the year Tyra retired which I reminisced over this year with the departure of Adriana Lima; it’s truly the end of an era!

I must say after watching the show itself (which was and is surrounded in controversy this year) that this wasn’t exactly my favorite runway, to date. I guess I’m an old-fashioned girl that misses the days of fuller figures, over the top actual wings and the iconic doggie. All that being said, I still love the feel of my black satin VICTORIA’S SECRET pj’s, as well as my VICTORIA’S SECRET printed sleep shirt. By the way, the fashion show ready face mask did have my skin all aglow, and I felt ready for my closeup. I set off both of my pajama looks with sparkly bejeweled rhinestone winged earrings. Where’s a runway when you need one!

I took full advantage of the comfort of my pj’s and chose to have a mini staycation in bed all day. I decided to deck out my breakfast tray with pretty angel wings, and concentrated the color scheme to pinks with black accents, and a few VICTORIA’S SECRET staples. I love, love, loved the fruity parfait I had during my breakfast in bed and got so comfortable that I stayed under the covers until nightfall, having already secured the best seat in the house to watch the show. Just before the show started, I made a dessert tray with an array of goodies. I munched on candied popcorn made with M&M’s and strawberry nerds (which tasted similar to chocolate covered strawberries, yum) poured into a VICTORIA’S SECRET bag. My cocktail is called pink cotton panties made with Sprite, raspberry sherbet, and pink lemonade flavored vodka and topped off with pink champagne. I had a blast, and even set off a sparkler on my pretty in pink cupcake to amp up the glitz and glamour of the occasion. Well that’s it for me for now, thanks to my pink cotton panties cocktail I’m feeling a little cheeky, so I guess it’s time for me to lay it down (not that I ever left the bed, in the first place) Nighty-nite!
